Salt and Light are the images Jesus uses on the Sermon of the Mount as he teaches discipleship.
Now is the time to Be Salt. Be Light. Be a Disciple.
Matthew 5
13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Anyone that has influence is a leader. Teachers, coaches, parents, neighbors, friends, coworkers -- all influence and are leaders. Everything rises and falls on leadership - don't let the crisis show you, the leader, up.
This is your time. How we view things - determines how we do things!
Some gleanings from John Maxwell on your potential to transform the world:
People come first. Help, serve, lift and love others. Add value to people. Help others get through the crisis and you will be better because of it.
Educate yourself. Don’t go to the media or politicians as they can have their own agenda. Seek accurate information from the World Health Organization (WHO) or the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
Be flexible. Crisis has a lot of change and uncertainty. Shift and be adaptable.
Leverage your team. "None of us is as smart as all of us" -- Ken Blanchard. We can have one vision and one mission with different perspectives. You cannot get what you need by yourself.
Communicate judiciously more than continually. Do less talking with more thinking. Use good discernment. Communicate with thinking weight being wise. Less, not more.
Be authentic. Authenticity is what people want — not perfection. Earn trust. Always tell the truth. Stay close to people. Uncertainty is ok - do not pretend to have all the right answers. Keep your head above the crowd to see the big picture.
Manage yourself. Do the right thing, even if it is hard. Lead by example so you can then lead your people. Encourage others by example.
Let's harness this opportunity to make lemonade!
